Depending on how you look at it, Hold On was the fourth or fifth single from The Young and the Hopeless, and was released in late 2003 as a double A-side with the album's title track, the last single from the album. Hold On received airplay in the United States. The song was written for those fans who wrote to GC saying they wanted to commit suicide, and it's meant to prevent people suiciding. The video for this track is notable in that it features ordinary people affected by suicide, as opposed to actors.
